Engineering Stoles & Cords Requirements

Engineering Stole Requirements:

Kansas Scholars Curriculum completer (4 years of math, 3 year of science (Bio, Chem, Physics), and 2 years of foreign language)
All classes completed all years with 3.5 unweighted GPA OR 3.0 unweighted GPA with a C or better in 3 AP Classes
3 Engineering Classes including AP/Honors Physics. All engineering classes completed with a C or better. This includes PLTW Engineering and WSUTech Engineering classes.
All classes Honors or AP when available
All community service hours completed (25 hrs per year in program)
All experiential learning hours completed (10 hrs per year in program). Includes engineering camps, shadowing, internships, day workshops, etc.
At least two years of extracurricular activities (club, sport, National Honor Society, etc.)
No academic honesty/honor code violations
No chronic absenteeism (missing 10% or more days in a class-includes excused and unexcused)
No ongoing behavioral concerns/illegal activity

Engineering Cord Requirements:

Completed 3 Engineering Classes including AP/Honors Physics. All engineering classes completed with a passing grade. This includes PLTW Engineering and WSUTech Engineering classes.
All classes Honors or AP when available after being in the program for one year.
Minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA

Engineering Pin Requirements:

4 years of math, 3 year of science (Bio, Chem, Physics)
Completed 3 Engineering Classes including AP/Honors Physics. All engineering classes completed with a passing grade. This includes PLTW Engineering and WSUTech Engineering classes.
All classes Honors or AP when available after being in the program for one year.
Minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA
